RaceRoom expands in Asia – Sepang released

RaceRoom is coming to Asia with full force. This weekend, there is the official launch of RaceRoom Malaysia! A new circuit, Sepang, added to the game. A special online competition with the Formula RaceRoom X-17 around the new track, with cool prizes for all drivers in Asia and all around the world. And an on-site event, in collaboration with PETRONAS Motorsports is happening this weekend, live in Kuala Lumpur.

We are glad to announce that we are going to expand our Asian track list with another FIA Grade 1 circuit. The 5.54 km long circuit located near Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia was opened in 1999, and since then has been host to many racing series such as the F1 & Moto GP as well as the Super GT, Asian Le Mans Series, Blancpain GT Series Asia and TCR International.

Thanks to our close relationship with Hermann Tilke, stemming from our past collaboration to bring you the first ever virtual representation of Chang International Circuit, we were able to build the track based on data from the track architect to ensure best possible accuracy of the layout and surroundings.
The track consists of long straights followed by tight and slow corners providing good overtaking opportunities as well as incredibly fast corner combinations and some very technical turns that will challenge your driving techniques. You will be able to race the track in 3 different layouts: GP, North & South.

To celebrate the launch RaceRoom Malaysia and the release of Sepang, RaceRoom presents a special online competition for all drivers from Asia and all around the world. The powerful Formula RaceRoom is the first car to conquer the tarmac of Sepang. You need to own the Sepang Circuit, but the FR X-17 can be used for free for the duration of the competition. For everyone who participates in the competition and who owns the FR X-17, you will recieve the PETRONAS livery as a gift after the competition.

In addition, the fastest Asian driver will receive a special extra prize. His name will be used as the name of the AI driver of the Petronas FR X-17. Your name will be represented in RaceRoom forever! This competition is only open for one week, so make sure to get your laptimes in as soon as possible. You can join here.
